Our founding members had the desire to begin a Bible-based, Spirit-filled, and Mission-oriented church in Dallas, Texas for all who believe in Jesus Christ. In the Spring of 2013, the Lord fulfilled this desire and provided the opportunity to gather together to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. God’s mighty hand and His provisions were evident in the growth of the Church, from its humble beginnings with about sixty individuals to a Christ-dwelling Church in the Dallas Metroplex with three hundred plus young and old coming together to worship God.
This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes!
The zeal of every member is reflected in the name “Harvest.” This name was inspired by our ambition to grow in our walk with God together and to impact our community and beyond with the Gospel of Salvation. Initially, we met at various locations including hotels and other churches, but within three months, the Lord opened the door for us to lease our own temporary space at the Park Plaza Tower, Dallas in July 2013. In May 2018, Harvest Church of God was blessed with a permanent Church facility in Rowlett, TX.
Trust in Him and He will do this!
Harvest Church of God is blessed with great men and women of God, all of whom played a vital role in the leadership and growth of the Church. In the summer of 2013, Pastor Clement Varghese from Houston, Texas served as head Pastor and was later succeeded by Pastor Jacob George who accepted the position of Senior Pastor in July 2014. In order to support the vision of emphasizing youth ministry, God brought in Pastor Renny Cherian, who currently serves as Youth Pastor. In 2018 February, Pastor Ebby Mammen took the position of Senior Pastor. Under the leadership of these Servants of God, Harvest has stood a testament and a witness to the Truth of Jesus Christ within the local, national, and global communities.
Apart from regular weekly ministries and Sunday services, Harvest Church of God seeks to prioritize the matters that press God’s heart above all else – that is, building His Kingdom and building His army. Our Sunday services, ladies’ and men’s ministries, youth ministries and RealTalk, missions’ outreaches, family night, etc. all emphasize that anyone and everyone can find a place to grow spiritually and serve the Lord no matter the cause. Harvest's vision has expanded to include community service activities, outreach programs, youth group activities, and several international mission projects. The Lord continues to use Harvest as a light unto the community, and the power of the Holy Spirit continues to lead many to the Saving Grace of Jesus Christ. Harvest is the place where everyone wants to be and become partakers of the great Harvest!
